Shure Se535′s are not your typical cheap earbuds, if you’re looking at getting a nice pair of earbuds under $500 these are reviewed as top of the class by many. They don’t come cheap but you get what you pay for in these, in the past shure got a bad rap on some of their headphones for how thin their cables are. Well they definitly made up for it on this one, these wires are thick and really built well. Other than that, they have 3 drivers which is pretty awesome and has good deep bass to it. Here are some other features as well as pro’s and con’s.
Se535 compared to the Se500
The Se500 was admired by many and for good reason, it was built and sounded great. But these Se535′s improved on the cable design. The older earbuds wires are not as good as these new Kevlar reinforced cables with the SE535. To add to that another nice thing they added was the gold plated connectors for a more solid design.
The feel is pretty similar, they added a new sleeve near the monitor which makes it nice for keeping it secure around your ears. They also added the clear version of the Se535′s that I think look a whole lot better than the old ones. But that’s my preference, overall if you liked the Se500′s you will love these and like the more durable cable.
Shure Se535 Review – Features
- Works well with Ipod and Ipad, also comes with a mic for iphone and other phone use.
- Triple Drivers for the Tweeter and Two Sub Woofers.
- Thick Long lasting kevlar re-enforced Cables (a big upgrade from the Se530)
- Range of ear fitting tips
- Good Noise Cancelling
Shure Se535 Review – Pro’s
- Strong Build
- Good Bass
- Triple Drivers
- Full Sounding Earbuds
- Great Noise Cancellation
Shure Se535 Review – Con’s
- One person said the default tips were hard to take off but the solution is put them in the freezer for a couple minutes and they slide right off.
