-Warm Sounding with emphasis on the the bass(but not too overpowering)
-Best portable low priced headphones for iphone or mp3 players, these collapse and fold well.
-Reproduces instruments clearly.
-Lifetime Warranty-Just send them to Koss with a cash or a check for return shipping and they will send you a new pair no questions asked.
-A little heavy on the bass
-Open headphones, so there will be sound leaking. If you’re in a loud place it won’t be cancelling noise and others may hear if you’re blasting them.
These are the best bang for your buck in the under $50 dollar range. If you’re looking for ipod or mp3 player portable headphones, these are great. If you’re going to be using them in loud places these aren’t for you. A headphone amp would help but not necessary at this stage. They are also great because they are very comfortable and have a lifetime warranty. If you’re not looking to spend much but still want a taste of the high quality headphones this is the headphone for you.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Review
Best Over Ear Headphones in the $100-$200 Range.
Amazon Sale Price: $159
Make sure you burn them in. Let them play for a few hours and the bass will start to show more as well as the highs and mids. Many people said they were disappointed when first taking them out of the box, but then after some burn in thought they were the best headphones they ever listened to in their price range.
For this price point and over the ear style, these have the best reviews around.
Frequency Response is really good.
Best good review vs bad review we have seen.
Sound Leakage-Very Little
Sound Stage 3rd-5th row.
They work best with a headphone amp, but work great without them also.
Only negatives (very few through hundreds of reviews were that some people thought they weren’t the most stylish headphones or they were a little big for there liking. Although they can take a beating and are made really well. If you’re into more looks than quality you might want to look at other headphones.
The ATH-M50 is definitely one of the best headphones in it’s price range.
