Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680

These are at the top for running and exercising headphones, they have the neckband so when you’re running they stay on your head.  They have rave reviews from other runners and athletic minded people from all over the web.  I talk about a lot on this blog how much I love Sennheiser headphones.  In my opinion Sennheiser is at the top of the game for quality headphones and they’re affordable too.    So it’s great Sennheiser teamed up with Adidas for these custom headphones designed for sports.   They also have a material that makes sweat slide off the headphones and they’re water proof, add to that they’re reflective.   These are built for excercise and that’s why we consider them one of the best running headphones out there.

Best Headphones for Running – Etymotic MC3

Etymotic MC3

Price: $99.99

If you like the Earbuds or more in ear style for exercising this are probably the best bet.   They are really light for running and exercising and also come with different tips for comfort.   From the reviews people say these don’t slip out like most earbuds do when exercising.   They also have a clip that you can clip on to your shirt when running or exercising.

The Etymotic MC3 are great multi purpose headphones they have a lot of good reviews.   They can be used for exercising, noise cancellation or just casual use with professional quality.   They come with excellent highs and mids but a little lacking in the deep bass if that’s what you’re looking for.  Although if you’re out running or biking in dangerous areas and you need to hear your surroundings, I wouldn’t suggest these because they have really good noise cancelling.   They come with different tips so you can test them and see what’s most comfortable.

Pro’s

-Great passive noise cancellation

-Comfortable

-Good clear highs and mids-Very detailed

-Loud, so they’re good for ipods and mp3 players, no need for a headphone amp.

Con’s

-If you’re a bass head and really love your bass, these are a little thin on bass
